The Taipei International Book Exhibition, held between 16th and 21st February 2016, featured three Culture.pl publications: VeryGraphic, Polish Design: Uncut, and Out of the Ordinary. Their inclusion was thanks to a collaboration with The Polish Book Institute.
The Taiwanese book market has more than 23 million readers and sees over 40,000 new publications annually. Since Taipei is World Design Capital 2016, this year’s edition of the Taipei International Book Exhibition (TIBE) featured design as its topic. The event was attended by publishers and literary agents from China, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
Thanks to a collaboration with The Polish Book Institute, three Culture.pl publications were also presented. Polish Design: Uncut presents a digest of 21st-century Polish projects. Out of the Ordinary: Polish Designers of the 20th Century is the first significant historical overview of Polish design from Stanisław Wyspiański to Wojciech Wybieralski. VeryGraphic is yet another comprehensive publication on Polish design in the 20th century, presenting profiles of over 60 significant Polish designers.
