At the turn of May and June 2018, Stanisław Słowiński Quintet returned to tour China. The Kraków-based band gave 15 concerts in several cities, including Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Xi’an. The shows were part of the Jazz Po Polsku project promoting improvised Polish jazz music abroad.

In August 2017, winners of the 1st Beijing International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition for Young Pianists toured Poland at the invitation of the Adam Mickiewicz Institute. The young Chinese pianists visited places related to Fryderyk Chopin, including Warsaw and the composer’s birthplace in Żelazowa Wola.

The first works by Henryk Sienkiewicz were translated into Chinese over a hundred years ago at the beginning of the 20th century. Now, over a century later, The Knights of the Cross (Polish title: Krzyżacy) has been published in Chinese as an audiobook, thanks to Audioteka and the Polish Book Institute.

Martyrs was the first show directed by Grzegorz Jarzyna staged in China. It was presented to the Chinese audience four times on stages of the Tianjin Grand Theatre and the Harbin Grand Theatre.

On 17th June 2016, Tianjin Grand Theatre hosted the Chinese premiere of the performance Martyrs directed by Grzegorz Jarzyna. After being staged twice in Tianjin, the show was also presented at the Harbin Grand Theatre. The event was part of the Polish Theatre Season, the largest ever presentation of Polish theatre in China, taking place throughout 2016.

After stagings at the 2011 Taiwan International Festival of Arts and at the 2012 Seoul Performing Arts Festival (SPAF), in June 2016 Krzysztof Warlikowski’s show (A)pollonia returned to Asia for the third time. This time the outstanding production of Warsaw’s Nowy Theatre was shown in Tianjin and Harbin in China.

From 14th to 24th May 2016, the Hangzhou Public Library (China) hosted Wiesław Borkowski's works exhibition titled Iflux. To date, it was the largest solo exhibition by a Polish artist in China. Wiesław Borkowski is a graduate of the Chinese Painting Department at the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou.

Polish-Ukrainian virtuoso soprano Olga Pasichnyk with her ensemble performed at the Early Music Season in China on 8th April 2016. The concert, featuring Baroque compositions, took place at the Forbidden City Concert Hall in Beijing. On 15th April 2016 the same hall hosted the concert of harpsichordist Marcin Świątkiewicz with his ensemble.

After the success of Woodcutters in 2015, this time Culture.pl together with the Polish Institute in Beijing brought to Tianjin and Harbin a new play directed by Krystian Lupa – Heroes' Square – a tragedy about a human being in the society of the 20th century.
