Ms Tency Lee, curator of LG Arts Center, a modern cultural venue in Seoul, visited Poland at the invitation of the Adam Mickiewicz Institute.
During her trip to Poland, Ms Lee visited three cities: Wrocław, Kraków and Warsaw, where she held meetings with the directors of the largest theaters: Polski Theatre and Wrocławski Teatr Współczesny (Wrocław Contemporary Theatre) in Wrocław, Łaźnia Nowa Theatre and Stary Theatre in Krakow, TR Warszawa and Nowy Theatre in Warsaw. The purpose of the meetings was to present the activity of leading Polish theaters, giving the LG Arts Center curator a full view of the modern theatrical landscape in Poland, which - as we hope - will lead to future cooperation in this field. During her visit Ms Lee also watched performances by renowned theatre director Krystian Lupa and participated in dress rehearsals at Stary Theatre in Krakow.
Opened in 2000, the LG Arts Center is a high tech multipurpose cultural venue, managed by the LG Yonam Cultural Foundation, the non-profit organization of LG. The Center hosts a wide range of local and international events from different fields of art, from music to dance and drama.
