At the turn of March and April, Michał Milczarek Trio (MM3) is returning on tour in China. The Warsaw-based band will give 12 concerts in 8 Chinese cities in the provinces of Guangdong and Sichuan. The tour, lasting from 28th March to April 13th 2019, is a part of the Jazz Po Polsku project, promoting improvised Polish jazz music abroad.

Five Polish jazz bands of the younger generation will tour China as part of the Jazz Po Polsku project. Performances in China feature: Monika Borzym Quintet accompanied by Fusion String Quartet, Tomasz Chyła Quintet, EABS, High Definition Quartet and Rafał Sarnecki Quintet.

At the turn of May and June 2018, Stanisław Słowiński Quintet returned to tour China. The Kraków-based band gave 15 concerts in several cities, including Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Xi’an. The shows were part of the Jazz Po Polsku project promoting improvised Polish jazz music abroad.

At the turn of November and December 2017, Grzegorz Karnas Formula gave a series of concerts in China, Malaysia and Indonesia. Polish vocalist also conducted workshops for Asian students in all three countries. The tour was a part of the Jazz Po Polsku project promoting independent Polish music worldwide.

2017’s second Jazz Po Polsku China tour kicked off at the turn of September and October. The lineup included bands such as Rafał Sarnecki Sextet, Marek Napiórkowski Sextet, Paweł Kaczmarczyk Audiofeeling Trio, Michał Milczarek Trio and Kuba Cichocki Quartet who gave concerts in 14 Chinese cities.

In July 2017 the Stanisław Słowiński Quintet gave seven concerts on tour in China, performing in Lanzhou, Beijing, Shanghai and Xi’an. The shows were a part of the Jazz Po Polsku project and the Season of Culture – a programme of the Chinese Ministry of Culture promoting the 16+1 initiative aimed at enhancing collaboration between China and Central and Eastern European countries, as well as the idea of the new Silk Road.

On 1st December 2016 Rafał Sarnecki's Polish-Malaysian quintet played at the prestigious No Black Tie club in Kuala Lumpur. The concert was a part of the band's Malaysian tour, held as a part of the Jazz Po Polsku project promoting Polish jazz in the international area.

In early December 2016 jazz guitarist Rafał Sarnecki gave a concert tour in Malaysia. His Polish/Malaysian quintet performed at Penang Island Jazz Festival and in Kuala Lumpur. Performances were held as part of the Jazz Po Polsku project promoting Polish jazz in the international area.

After the success of the Polish cultural programme in China in 2015, the Adam Mickiewicz Institute continues carrying out projects under the Culture.pl brand in Asian countries. In 2016, the programme is structured around theatre and music.

At the turn of April and May 2016, Michał Milczarek Trio gave a concert tour in Vietnam. One of the most interesting young bands on the Polish jazz scene performed twice at the Hue Festival and in local clubs.

In October 2015, two Polish bands - Pink Freud and Jazzpospolita - gave several concerts in China. The tour was a part of the project JAZZ PO POLSKU ON TOUR, promoting Polish jazz artists on the international scene.

Pink Freud with its charismatic leader Wojtek Mazolewski and Jazzpospolita, one of the most interesting formations of Polish alternative scene, gave eleven concerts in China. The musicians performed in Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Beijing, Shenzhen, Xiamen, Zhongshan and Zhuhai.
